Wof

Wof is the protagonist and viewpoint character of "That's My Dungeon My Life." He is a thirteen-year-old boy with blue hair and silver eyes living in the water-rich frontier city of Hydrangea, a settlement built from monster-repelling stone that survives despite being surrounded by dungeons. Wof is a reincarnator (tensei-sha) who retains fragmented memories of a past life, most likely as a doctor, though he insists those memories give him no world-changing knowledge. He scrapes a living scavenging the dungeon's "Junkyard" (Gomi-ba), the first-floor refuse pile where the gear of dead explorers mysteriously accumulates, hunting for anything sellable while saving toward the 42,000-oro fee to register as an explorer.

What makes Wof extraordinary is that he was born with four Relics, the innate powers that substitute for magic in this world. He openly uses two of them to earn his living: 'Danger Discernment' (Kiki Hanbetsu), which color-codes safe, dangerous, and lethal points around him, and 'Wheel of Fortune' (Fortune no Wa), which highlights rare treasures. His third Relic, 'Vanish,' produces a transparent sphere in his dominant palm that can erase anything it touches, selectively sparing whatever he chooses. His fourth Relic is a fearsome, closely guarded secret, never named in the text (rendered only as a censored blank) and tied to his purple eyes; he loathes using it, but with it he can instantly annihilate even high-tier monsters. He hides his true power because, as he believes, 'rarity robs one of freedom.'

Wof's arc begins when he unearths an Elixir, a legendary cure-all so valuable it could start a war, from deep in the Junkyard. Rather than sell it, an earthquake flings him beside the dying members of Torquetum, a beautiful all-female Class III explorer party, and he pours the entire Elixir into them to save their lives, then slays an attacking Nue-like monster with his forbidden fourth Relic and secretly returns everyone to the surface. To stay near them without revealing that he is their savior, he takes work as their 'hired-child' (yatoigo), an apprentice-servant. This drives the series' central irony: the party desperately searches for their mysterious rescuer while he serves them under their noses.

Personality-wise, Wof is cautious, humble, and deeply pragmatic. He treats his Relics as mere tools rather than badges of superiority, and he openly despises the world's Relic-supremacists who look down on the powerless. He wants no part of heroism, glory, or ascent to greatness; his stated dream is simply to live an ordinary, happy life, which is the meaning behind the title's 'My Dungeon, My Life.' Kind enough to spend a legendary panacea on strangers yet wary enough to treat rival scavenger children as enemies, he embodies a survivor who quietly wields immense hidden power while longing only for normalcy.
