Dagaa

Dagaa is a small, unidentified magical creature (mazoku) and living weapon belonging to Wof, the dungeon master protagonist. She was born from a white-purple lump that Wof recovered from the depths of the Junkyard, an anomalous discovery linked to an Elixir and suspected to be of Legendary rank. The lump seemingly consumed Wof's Relic Plate containing the rare 【Blade-Transformation】(Toukenka) Relic, then took living form: a cat-sized, fluffy white body marbled with faint purple swirls, small wings, four long ear-like feathers, a gracefully curling tail, large almond-shaped red eyes, and a purple teardrop jewel set in her forehead that resembles a third eye. She communicates entirely in cries of 'Na!' (the reason Wof, testing his mind-reading Relic, found her inner voice to be simply 'Na!'), and Wof named her Dagaa because she cries 'Na' and can become a knife (from 'dagger,' but deliberately 'Dagaa' rather than 'Dagger').

Dagaa's defining ability is transforming into the 'Dagaa Knife.' Because her body was small, her initial blade form was crude and incomplete, but she can flip between creature and knife at will. Crucially, the Dagaa Knife can be enchanted with any of Wof's Relics: it has channeled Heat (becoming the red-hot Dagaa Heat Knife), Vanish, Spiral and other effects, effectively making her a universal Relic-enchantment weapon, though the Relic Vanish notably has no effect on Dagaa herself. Her most spectacular power comes from the forehead jewel, revealed to be a 'True Eye' (Shingan): when Wof enchants Phantasmagoria into it, the Dagaa Knife's blade splits into a bifurcated arrowhead with the jewel at its center, unleashing a devastating cut that shears through stone pillars, guardians and even the hull of an ancient ark.

In personality Dagaa is playful, affectionate, capricious and baby-like. In her introduction the Witch cradled and soothed her like an infant, and she readily nuzzles, licks and clings to people, showing particular fondness for the chests and tails of the women around Wof. She is fed thick slabs of bacon, rides on shoulders and heads, sleeps curled beside her companions, and can occasionally act as a protector, once slapping Wof's cheek to stop him at a critical moment. She was later confirmed to be female (identified as such by the alchemist Haiyaan) and, in one running gag, grew fat and had to be put on a diet.

Throughout the story Dagaa remains a beloved fixture of Wof's household, most inseparable from the small companion Mineha, who understands her wordless speech and sleeps with her. Her true nature and origin are never fully explained even by the Witch or the legendary alchemist Haiyaan, leaving her one of the story's persistent mysteries: a Legendary-tier living Relic-weapon born from the Junkyard.
