The Seven Mysteries Sect, formerly known as the Seven Supreme Sect, was founded some two hundred years ago by a famed martial master called the “Sovereign of the Seven Supreme.” It once dominated the Jing and Shu Provinces for decades, but after the founder fell ill its power took a devastating blow.
About a century ago its rivals forced it out of the main city of Jing Province, and it relocated to the remote Celestial Rainbow Mountain — a range of ten peaks — where it rebuilt its roots and came to control a dozen towns and villages. Its structure comprises Outer and Inner Branches of numerous Divisions, a Council of Elders, Vice Sect Leaders, and a Sect Leader; only core disciples are permitted the secret arts of the Seven Supreme Division.
Inner Disciple examinations are held every five years for children between seven and twelve. It is here, coming from Green Ox Town, that Han Li's journey begins; he leaves the sect after the Feral Wolf Gang's attack.
