Space
Description
Space (also called Cosmos) is one of the most profound and fundamental laws of the universe of Warlock of the Magus World, standing on the same level as Time, forming together with it a pair of supreme principles from which all other elemental laws and laws of the elements derive. If Time governs the flow of events, causality and the order of existence, Space is responsible for the very fabric of the world: distance, volume, form and the mutual arrangement of everything that exists. Comprehension of this law opens to the mage possibilities inaccessible to ordinary elemental practitioners, from instantaneous displacements and the folding of space to the creation of closed pocket worlds, dungeons and storehouses that exist in parallel to reality but are unreachable from the outside. In the narrative, the law of Space manifests mainly in the form of spatial displacements and spatial traps that the characters encounter as their power grows. The higher the level of the practitioner, the more notable the presence of spatial effects: superior mages are capable of tearing distance with a mental blow, imposing spatial seals, hiding entire chambers and treasures in pocket dimensions and isolating battlefields from the outer world so that the outcome of the duel does not depend on the interference of third parties. Artifacts based on this law - spatial rings, bags and storehouses - become the customary tools of powerful mages and one of the most coveted rewards of adventures. Space is revered as one of the "true" laws: it cannot be mastered through the mere accumulation of mana or the ascent of circles; for genuine initiation a profound enlightenment and understanding of the essence of the world is required. Mages whose element or specialization touches Space are considered exceptionally dangerous adversaries, for they are capable of depriving the enemy of any possibility of escape, of tearing the space around the target or, conversely, of dodging any attack. At the highest levels, this law intertwines closely with Time: masters who have mastered both principles approach the status of demigods and can influence the very structure of reality, which makes Space one of the key benchmarks for anyone who aspires to the summits of the magical path.
