Bi De is a rooster who lived on Jin's farm and, bathed in the land's rich qi, grew into a sentient spirit beast — the first of Fa Ram's animals to awaken. Jin casually calls him "Big D"; the dignified bird and his fellow animals render this as the far nobler "Bi De."
He becomes the First Disciple of Fa Ram, cultivating the qi of moonlight and refining crescent-moon fighting techniques. Immensely dutiful and formal in speech, he shoulders his responsibilities — guarding the farm, leading the other disciples, and battling demons — with the absolute seriousness of a tiger.
Where Jin shrugs off cultivation, Bi De embraces the heroic ideal, venturing beyond the farm to seek out other spirit beasts and confront threats. Beneath his solemn nobility lies a deep loyalty to the master and home that gave him his mind and his purpose.
