Description
Eastern Lu held a ritual called the Rites of Heavenly Ascension in order to cure his daughter of an unknown sickness. Before the ritual, Jiang Chen was slipped the Three Laugh Powder, a substance that clears a person's internal passages and causes qi to be emitted from all parts of the body. In Jiang Chen's case, it made him fart during the ritual, enraging Eastern Lu, who ordered him caned to death. This ordeal caused Jiang Chen to reawaken his memories from his previous life as the son of the Celestial Emperor.
