Nie Yu is Nie Li's younger cousin, the daughter of his uncle Nie Kai and aunt Miao Ling of the Heavenly Marks Family. Easy-going and warm, she is the first to greet Nie Li whenever he returns home from school, and she looks up to and admires him.
Despite being younger than Nie Li, in his previous life her cultivation far surpassed his, and she always tried to protect him; she died when the demon beasts attacked Glory City. In this life Nie Li discovers she possesses the extremely rare "Physique of Heavenly Marks" soul form and teaches her a matching cultivation technique.
