Three assassins attacked simultaneously, dealing considerable damage to the unprepared Hei Zi. Even though he was wearing several pieces of ordinary cloth armor, he still lost nearly half his health.

"I'll fight you to the last!"
Hei Zi understood he was as good as dead. His speed was no match for the assassins, but he would at least fight back before he went down. He began chanting a spell and fired a point-blank Shadow Arrow at You Lang.
You Lang scoffed. Although the arrow was impossible to dodge, his level-zero character had eighty hit points. How much damage could a useless Warlock really deal? Was there any chance he would be one-shot?
With a boom, the Shadow Arrow struck You Lang.
A damage number of 76 popped up above You Lang's head, instantly reducing him to a sliver of health.
You Lang froze at the sight of that damage, his eyes nearly falling out of his skull. The other two assassins were equally stunned.
What the hell kind of Warlock was this? He was practically a siege cannon.
The one who had dealt the damage was just as shocked. Hei Zi had never imagined a Level 3 Shadow Arrow could be this devastating.
In truth, Hei Zi didn't fully understand what had happened. It wasn't just the Level 3 Shadow Arrow at work. The Blackwood Staff carried higher base damage, the One Rider Against a Thousand aura effect was in play, and level suppression added bonus damage on top of it all. Combined, these factors produced the absurdly high number.
"Shit! Bros, drop him! His staff has to be Iron Rank equipment!" You Lang, a seasoned player, quickly recovered and eyed Hei Zi's weapon with naked greed. For Hei Zi to deal that kind of damage, he had to be wielding an Iron Rank weapon—otherwise there was no way he had nearly one-shot him.
The two assassins were suddenly fired up and lunged at Hei Zi. They didn't even have ordinary weapons, let alone Iron Rank ones. If they could loot an Iron Rank weapon, they'd be sitting pretty.
The three attacked once more. Hei Zi's health was down to a mere six hit points, and death was just a breath away. The three assassins grew even more excited—the Iron Rank weapon was practically in their hands.
At that moment, Shi Feng appeared, moving in an impossible manner, placing himself between Hei Zi and the attackers. Three sword gleams flickered as he parried all three strikes, sending sparks flying. The three assassins were blown backward.
Before the assassins had even hit the ground, streaks of lightning flashed.
Three bolts of lightning lanced out, striking all three assassins while they were still airborne.
-32, -41, -50—the damage numbers appeared above their heads, and all three hit zero. In an instant, they dissolved into a shower of starlight and vanished.
Low defense combined with level suppression—the effect of the Wind Thunder Flash at this level was terrifying.
"Bro Feng..." Hei Zi stood there in a daze, staring at the figure before him with his jaw on the floor. "You're Bro Feng?"
Everything had happened in the blink of an eye. Shi Feng had appeared out of nowhere, delivered three sword strikes in a single motion to block attacks from three different directions, and followed up with Wind Thunder Flash—all in the space of a heartbeat, faster than the three assassins could even react.
That kind of mobility and reaction speed didn't seem human. If the person standing before him weren't unmistakably the Shi Feng he knew, Hei Zi would have sworn it was an impostor.
Shi Feng swept his gaze around and spotted eight players closing in, led by Yan Hu. He didn't dare linger and urged, "Why are you still standing there? Let's move!"
Although he had already activated Agility and Swiftness at full capacity and possessed an extraordinary physique that could keep pace with his thoughts, his physical stats were still far too low. Controlling his body at this level was difficult and extremely taxing on his mental stamina. A few high-burst moves were one thing, but he couldn't sustain it for long. Against a group of plate-armor classes and healers, the only option was to run.
