Myne's House is the home she shares with her commoner family in Ehrenfest's lower city. It sits near the south gate in one of the poorest districts, but close to the commoners' forest, giving easy access to firewood and foraging.
The family occupies the fifth floor of a seven-story townhouse: a shared bedroom, a combined kitchen and dining room, and a storage space. They sleep on two table-like beds pushed together, cook on a small wood-burning furnace, and bathe from a bucket drawn from the well in the square outside.
When Urano's memories awaken in her, Myne is appalled by the soot-stained, flea-ridden filth of the home and sets about cleaning it thoroughly, with her family agreeing to help keep it clean. The house anchors her deep love for her family — her mother Effa, father Gunther, and sister Tuuli, whom she is determined to protect.
