[Ding! The Soul Bisection database has been refined! Renamed to True Spirit Bisection!]

Leilin watched leave with what she had come for, listening to the Chip's response as he stroked his chin.

The soul-splitting technique he had obtained from Melinda through opportunistic bargaining last time had made tremendous progress and development through their mutual exchange and supplementation.

For Leilin, this technique was extremely important — it even related to his future developmental trajectory.

Now that many of the technical problems had been resolved, Leilin was in such good spirits that he directly helped Melinda resolve several hidden dangers in her soul, leaving her profoundly grateful.

"The procedures for splitting the true spirit have all been fully mapped out, and the success rate is quite high. Next is the issue of how to control the clone's true spirit..."

Leilin stroked his chin and sank into deep thought.

Although the soul-splitting technique Melinda provided had excellent feasibility, it also carried a very significant flaw — the inability to control the clone's true spirit!

In fact, the Flame Throne's original owner had practically been destroyed by this very problem — the later-formed had destroyed and even forcibly seized the original body.

Leilin had no intention of encountering the absurd scenario of a soul clone rebellion, so this budding threat had to be nipped in the bud.

"Your Majesty Leilin! The entire cleanup and migration of the Ouroboros Circle has been prepared!"

At that moment, and the others walked in, with Aufa and several more wearing complex expressions trailing alongside.

Even though Leilin had just demonstrated formidable power and stood up for them sorcerers, he would soon be leaving the Central Region for the South Coast. This left them feeling somewhat unsteady.

Still, relying on his reputation, the Sorcerer Alliance was more than capable of protecting itself, so their conflicted feelings were only natural.

"Good! Then let's set out as soon as possible!"

Leilin's expression was utterly calm — one might even say breezy and untroubled.

He had carved out time to handle these tedious matters out of gratitude for past favors, and once they were done, he could devote himself entirely to the pursuit of eternity.

...

Before long, another piece of news exploded across the Central Continent like a bombshell — that supreme Bloodline Throne. The terrifying bloodline prodigy who had single-handedly suppressed numerous Thrones — Lord Leilin Farell — was leading the entire Ouroboros Circle in a mass migration out of the Central Continent to a desolate Wizard wasteland on the South Coast.

Although the Sorcerer Alliance had tried desperately to keep this under wraps at first, such a large-scale organizational migration was ultimately impossible to conceal.

The newly emboldened bloodline sorcerers could only howl in dismay and reluctantly rein in their arrogant posturing.

Meanwhile, under the Sorcerer Alliance's vigorous development, the personal safety of numerous bloodline sorcerers was more than assured — they even began a new round of expansion across the Central Continent.

In the end, they had grown into the Central Continent's greatest power, enduring for many generations.

Of course, all of this had virtually nothing to do with Leilin anymore. Even if he learned of it, it wouldn't catch a shred of his attention.

After settling the Ouroboros Circle into its new home on the South Coast and presiding over one round of Underdark trade, Leilin stepped away entirely. Each day, aside from spending time with Furi and the others and looking after Sairei, he immersed himself in the laboratory.

After all, with the Ouroboros Circle's strength, keeping the entire South Coast in check was more than sufficient.

Moreover, the continuous development of Underdark trade generated enormous profits, setting the Ouroboros Circle on a fast track of rapid expansion — its influence grew with each passing day.

Having completed all these arrangements, Leilin could finally turn his attention to what truly interested him.

Deep underground, within a laboratory of unknown location.

"Experiment number 2,419 — begin!"

At Leilin's command, the Chip's mechanical notification popped up: [Ding! Experiment initiated! Recording data!]

At this moment, Leilin stood behind a massive glass wall, observing the two cultivation subjects beyond it.

Both experimental subjects exhibited the distinctive traits of Underdark races. What was even more startling was the spectral facial expression on each of them — as though wearing a semi-transparent mask.

Following Leilin's instructions, waves of electrical stimulation began coursing through them. At their backs, numerous transparent tubes writhed in unison, injecting large quantities of unidentifiable liquids of various colors directly into their bodies.

"Mmmm..."

"Heh heh..." The two subjects reacted differently — their muscles writhed ceaselessly, and beneath their skin something seemed to scurry about like masses of tiny mice. Countless fleshy tumors rolled about, creating a rather nauseating and horrifying sight.

What drew even more attention was the spectral soul mask on their faces, which grew increasingly radiant, its expressions becoming ever more complex.

[Target functioning normally! No adverse rejection reactions!] the Chip faithfully reported. [Proceeding to remote control test!]

One by one, semi-transparent threads descended, their tips terminating in the phantom of a golden six-legged spider.

The semi-transparent threads first spread across one subject's face, its numerous tendrils probing inward toward the cranial cavity, causing a look of intense agony to flash across the subject's features. Then the sinister reach extended toward the second subject.

"Gurgle! Gurgle!"

Once the semi-transparent threads connected with the second subject, the body suddenly began to rapidly wither.

[Soul resonance initiated! Subject Two is exhibiting anomalous reactions! Soul curve fluctuating violently!]

"Continue! Adjust the Subject Two merger agent and the Subject Three strengthener — reduce both by five units!" Leilin's expression turned cold.

[Adjustment in progress! Target curve stabilizing!]

"Has it succeeded?" Watching the laboratory seemingly returning to calm, a glint of anticipation rose in Leilin's eyes.

But the next instant, his expression changed.

"Ahhhhh... ROOOAR!" BOOM!!!

With the subject's roar and a tremendous explosion, both experimental subjects detonated simultaneously, spraying blood and gore across the glass wall.

[Target deceased! Soul annihilated! Experiment failed!] The cold voice rang out, drawing a sigh from Leilin.

"Failed again. Was it a problem with the Victori Spider? Next time I should probably switch to a better bonding agent!"

After the failed experiment, Leilin quickly adjusted his mood and began filling in the experiment log.

"Hm?!" His brow twitched as he set down his pen.

"Ten years already?" he murmured, and his figure vanished from the laboratory, reappearing in another space.

"Lord Enosit, it's been a while! Is the contract ready?" Leilin greeted with a smile.

Before him stood none other than Enosit — the Law-level existence of the local Wizard rules who had appeared previously.

"Yes! Lord Leilin! And many of our companions, upon learning of Lord Leilin's existence, have been extremely excited — they couldn't wait to meet you!"

Enosit nodded with a smile.

"Then let's set out immediately! I've been looking forward greatly to meeting those ancient powerhouses!" A sharp gleam flashed in Leilin's eyes, and then both of them dissolved into light and vanished.

"Oh, and Lord Enosit — regarding the Underdark trade..."

During the journey, Leilin transmitted via voice.

After all, the other party was a guardian of the upper Underdark layers — it was only proper to inform him.

"That? No matter! If you like, I can gift you the entire first Underdark layer!" Enosit appeared entirely nonchalant about it.

For Law-level existences like them, the profits from trade confined to just one Underdark layer were beneath their notice — certainly not worth offending a fellow Law-level being over.

"That puts my mind at ease. Also..."

Seizing the opportunity, Leilin continued the conversation. As a senior, Enosit possessed a great deal of insight that Leilin urgently needed at this stage.

The conversation along the way was thoroughly pleasant, and Enosit was visibly astonished by Leilin's breadth and depth of knowledge.

After all, for a newly advanced Law-level existence, Leilin's range of learning was far beyond what anyone at a comparable level would possess.

As the two talked, they ventured ever deeper into the Underdark, eventually piercing through the seven known developed layers and arriving in an unknowable space beyond.

"By my previous world's understanding, after descending this far, I should have reached the Earth's core by now — but this place..."

Leilin surveyed his surroundings.

Emptiness, darkness — like an unknown stratum of the cosmos, yet suffused with a strange World .

The closer they drew, the more Leilin could sense the World Will's presence. Though it remained weak and dormant, the sheer imposing aura it naturally exuded still sent a chill through him.

"Welcome to the deepest reaches of the Underdark! This is also the core and highest layer of the entire Wizard World!"

Enosit had now completely shed his human form, having transformed into some unrecognizable existence.

"The Laws..." Leilin closed his eyes.

Here, he could clearly sense the presence of vast quantities of Laws — countless Laws manifesting openly, the environment vastly superior to the Wizard World's surface.

[Ding! Detected traces of fractured space-time instruments! World Origin energy is dissipating!] the Chip issued its reminder.

"A fractured World Core — a remnant of the ancient final war?"

Now Leilin understood why those Eighth-level existences had each secluded themselves here.

The exposed Laws and the leaking World Origin were incomparably attractive to Law-level beings like themselves.

If it were him, he would certainly spend every day sequestered here as well.
