Flender is the dean of Shrek Academy — the 'monster' school that gathers gifted misfits — and one third of the famed Golden Iron Triangle alongside Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong. His own martial soul is the Owl.
Deeply proud, strict yet genuinely caring toward his students, he is notorious for his love of money and his readiness to put others in awkward situations to earn it — though he is selfless in matters of the heart.
He personally recruits rare talents such as Ma Hongjun, shelters the young Shrek Seven Devils, and his steadfast loyalty helped guide Liu Erlong back from her darkest years.
