"If that's still not enough, you could come join us as vice guild master, form your own elite team, and maintain your independence — how does that sound?" Shi Feng added.
Huanghun Huixiang had just given up on a future sixth-tier god-tier powerhouse — that was practically equivalent to cutting off both arms.
And the reason it was "both arms" was simple: without Shui Se Qiangwei, his sixth-tier god-tier friend would never have joined Huanghun Huixiang either. That meant Huanghun Huixiang had lost not one but two future god-tier powerhouses.
Shi Feng himself had been the one to set all of this in motion. It may have been an unintentional mistake, but for Huanghun Huixiang, the outcome was nothing short of tragic.
If he could pull Shui Se Qiangwei into his own guild as well, Shi Feng could only imagine what that would mean for its future.
"Even if I agreed, I still have a group of followers. They're all in the Storm Empire. Even if I could afford the steep teleportation fees, they can't. And they left the promising Huanghun Huixiang guild for my sake — I owe them an explanation. I really am sorry." Though Shi Feng's offer was tempting, Shui Se Qiangwei would never abandon her people.
"Is it a lot of people?" Shi Feng asked.
"A little over a hundred. Master Hei Yan, you should just give up. Even Huanghun Huixiang couldn't afford those teleportation fees." Shui Se Qiangwei understood perfectly why Shi Feng was asking.
Teleporting a single person across national borders was expensive enough, let alone across multiple countries. A rough estimate put it at two or three gold coins per person — over a hundred people would mean two to three hundred gold coins.
That many gold coins — forget about a single first-rate guild, even ten first-rate guilds couldn't absorb that cost.
There was no way Shi Feng had that many gold coins.
"Just over a hundred? That's not too bad." Shi Feng let out a sigh of relief, having feared it might be over a thousand. If that had been the case, it would have hurt to even think about. "Then bring everyone to the Star Moon Kingdom. I'll cover all the teleportation fees."
He had earned quite a bit from Huanghun Huixiang before, and now it was going right back to Shui Se Qiangwei. Fate certainly had a sense of humor — if Rongguang Huixiang ever found out, they might just cough up three liters of blood.
"Master Hei Yan, that's two to three hundred gold coins, not two or three," Shui Se Qiangwei couldn't help but remind him.
"Mm, I know. I'll send you the three hundred gold coins soon. Once you get to White River City, just come find me at the Star Trace Trading House." After that, Shi Feng hung up the communication, since the Black Wing Auction had already begun.
On the other end, however, Shui Se Qiangwei was stunned.
"What kind of organization is behind Master Hei Yan? How could he have such astonishing financial power — producing three hundred gold coins just like that? Could he be one of those super guilds?" The way Shi Feng had spoken so casually about it, as if three hundred gold coins were no different from two or three, left Shui Se Qiangwei reeling. She quickly shook her head. "No, even those super guilds wouldn't be able to produce three hundred gold coins so easily."
"Now that's interesting. But I'll have the full answer once I reach White River City." Shui Se Qiangwei smiled faintly, a spark of anticipation stirring within her.
Meanwhile, at the Black Wing Auction House, the venue was already packed with players, the majority of whom were high-ranking members of various guilds.
These guilds had been saving up gold coins with everything they had for this day.
Word had already spread that even the regular auction area would feature a number of astonishing items — Gold-grade equipment, materials for crafting Dark Gold-grade gear, and possibly even Dark Gold-grade weapons and the stuff of legends: Epic-grade items. All you needed was enough gold.
After several warm-up auctions, the atmosphere in the venue had already been fired up to a fever pitch.
Every single item up for auction was something players desired, but Shi Feng had little interest. Everything being sold was Iron Rank quality — great for a guild's elite players, but not particularly useful to him.
However, the next item up for auction made everyone's eyes light up with keen interest.
Because it was a Gold-grade dagger.
Frost Fang — Dagger, Gold-grade, Required Level: 15, Attack +134, Strength +18, Agility +24, Stamina +15, with passive ability: Winter's Might — deals 50% frost damage to target and reduces target's movement speed and attack speed by 50% for 4 seconds.
If an Assassin got their hands on this, it would be like adding wings to a tiger. One strike might not finish off an enemy, but with the slow effect in play, they could follow up with a combo to seal the deal.
