"The battle must be raging fiercely!"

Just beyond the orc wilderness, where waves of boundless divine power and thunderous energy rippled ceaselessly, Shadow Soul City floated quietly amidst the chaotic void currents—like an ancient, immovable mountain range, radiating an aura of indestructible power.

[Ding! Shadow concealed successfully! Activating AI-level defense!]

A ring of Shadow Weave unfurled around the entire floating city, then slowly dissolved into the air, as though merging with another, true Weave.

Shadow Soul City's presence vanished in an instant. Even from such close proximity, observing the battle firsthand, the three mighty divine powers failed to detect it.

"Proceed with the original plan!"

issued the order calmly, a sliver of unfathomable cold light the only thing flickering in his eyes.

His earlier gambit—putting himself at risk, pitting himself against Marla and the orc deities, and lending a hand to help and eliminate the avatars of their hostile divine opponents—had never been about causing trouble for the orc divine system.

After all, the orcs were gods of the evil alignment, same as himself. In terms of affinity, they were perhaps even closer to him than the Goddess of the Weave and the God of Justice.

But among evil deities, profit was the only binding agent in their relationships. And for his own interests, Leylin had sold the orc divine system out without a second thought.

Now the two divine systems were locked in confrontation, the divine war reaching its most ferocious climax—perfect timing for his scheme.

[Ding! Task initiated! Commencing target trajectory capture, divine realm coordinates confirming! ! ! !]

The Chip reported faithfully, torrents of information streaming through Leylin's mind.

Earlier, a hidden hand Leylin had planted began to stir violently, giving the Chip an enormous boost—like a tiger that had sprouted wings.

[Ding! Target confirmed! Divine realm defenses breached! Initiating spatial transfer! ! ! !]

Accompanied by the Chip's cold announcement, a terrifying spatial storm erupted around Shadow Soul City.

Whoosh… whoosh…

Amid the violent spatial upheaval, a brilliant column of white light surged from the top of Shadow Soul City, slicing through the void like a gleaming sword.

Hum!

The entire outline of Shadow Soul City vanished in a blinding flash, and when it reappeared, it had already been relocated.

Rumble!

Under the spatial transition, Rein had already steered the floating city to a location in the Savage Wilderness. A massive golden temple radiated a grand and overwhelming brilliance, standing beneath the floating city.

Numerous orc petitioners were worshipping before a peculiar orc deity statue, but upon catching sight of the floating city, they all let out cries of mingled shock and fury.

[Secondary Cannon Batteries Ready!]

But what answered them was only the cold voice of the Chip. Under the Chip's control, the numerous auxiliary turrets atop Shadow Soul City unleashed a roar of terrifying magnitude.

Under the barrage of powerful light beams, the petitioners, heroic spirit guards, and holy spirit commanders alike all dissolved into scattered motes of light and vanished.

A dark-colored magic net swept down instantly, sealing the surrounding void tight. The subsequent cannon barrage then leveled the massive golden temple to the ground, revealing the true form of a deity beneath it.

The figure wore loose black robes, and a dark golden divine radiance emanated from them—carrying the unique majesty of a true god. A power of deathly stillness constantly lingered around their form.

Despite having fallen into a state of severely diminished divine power, this life-and-death crisis still jolted the figure immediately from slumber, unleashing a roar at Rein: "God of Slaughter, ! And a floating city!!!!"

The figure's voice was brimming with shock and rage, but fear was even more predominant. Clearly, it had been completely unprepared for the sudden appearance of the floating city.

"The spatial-temporal beacons I planted on them beforehand—sure enough, they came in handy!"

Rein gazed at the true god Idroth who had appeared before him, his eyes gleaming with the light of a predator spotting its prey.

Yes! Mara had never been his target. A savage beast that had only grasped a fraction of the Slaughter rule—how could it possibly catch Rein's eye?

If it had been , perhaps that would have been somewhat more worthwhile.

And Rein's true target was none other than the God of of the orc pantheon—Idroth!

Slaughter and Death had always been a perfect match for [Divine Domains], and each one alone could sustain the existence of a Greater Power. The combined might of the two would be extraordinary—certainly enough to become a pillar of Rein's future strength!

Back on Bankes Island, through spreading plagues and bringing about death, Rein had begun to come into contact with certain aspects of the Death rule.

Unfortunately, his comprehension at the time had been minimal. To truly succeed, he still had a long way to go.

However, this was the world of gods! Where gods existed! So what if comprehending rules was difficult? The only true path for a was to directly hunt gods and obtain [Divine Domains]!

There were quite a few gods in the world of gods who possessed the [Death] domain or were related to death. The strongest among them was naturally the Death God Ke Lanwo, but unfortunately, he was a Greater Power, not someone the current Rein could aim for.

Apart from him, there were only the death gods of the various racial pantheons.

Among these gods, Rein immediately picked out Idros. First, he was also a death god of the orc pantheon. After killing him, Rein could gain insights into the law of death – this was the most important prerequisite!

Secondly, among the various death gods, Idros was relatively weak, only a Lesser Power, making him much easier to deal with than the halfling death god or those of other races.

The most critical point was… the current orc pantheon was still in a state of war! This provided the most opportunities to act!

All these reasons combined made Rein deeply feel that not taking Idros as his target would be a disservice to himself. Therefore, he formulated this plan.

On the surface, it was a pretext of hunting the Hunting God Maral, but in reality, Rein’s target was only one: to kill Idros! To strip him of his Death God domain!!!

Back in the Forest of Darkness, Rein knew Maral had set an ambush, yet he still pretended to fall into the trap – this was the reason.

Even to achieve his goal, he had not hesitated to put himself in danger, leaking his position and the movements of the orc race to Mystra and Tyr, giving them the opportunity for a clean sweep.

The entire process was sufficiently perilous. Had Rein not possessed enough trump cards, he would absolutely have been casually killed off by Mystra and Tyr.

But now, his efforts finally had sufficient reward!

First, the orc pantheon had already suffered a great loss of strength, and Gornush was embroiled in divine war, absolutely unable to look back, creating sufficient opportunity for his actions.

Secondly, during the earlier struggle, by deploying the Slaughter Domain, Rein had successfully planted a spatio-temporal marker on Idros, allowing the floating city to teleport to the god’s true body location and complete the decapitation strike in one move!

After he caused the Shark-faced Merfolk God Sakola to fall, almost all gods knew that the Slaughter God Kukulkan was also a terrifying , possessing even a floating city that ranked among the top even in the ancient era! The combined power of the two was sufficient to slay gods!

who knew this intelligence certainly had preparations. At the very least, the defenses within their divine realms against teleportation and floating city movement, as well as the rules concealing a god’s true body, were greatly strengthened.

If Rein had not tampered with Idros beforehand and given the Chip to track him, finding his true body directly would require turning his entire divine realm inside out first.

Given that time, even Gornush, no matter how dull-witted, would have had enough time to kill his way over.

But there were never any "ifs" in the world. Therefore, Rein could now properly enjoy his spoils.

"What do you think you're doing? This is the Orc Wilderness! My divine realm is very close to the Orc Throne of the chief god Gornush! He can send an avatar here at any moment…"

A rare hint of panic flickered across Idros's face, which gleamed as though cast from solid gold — something virtually unheard of for a true god.

This was the fruit of Rein's prior preparations.

All of Idros's avatars had been destroyed by Mystra and Tyr, and the resulting damage to his divine power had left him with no choice but to slumber and slowly mend.

Even now, having sensed the crisis and dragged himself awake, being able to unleash sixty percent of his original strength would be impressive enough.

As for Rein, this time he had gone all out — he had even brought the aid of his floating city!

"Idros… in the name of the God of Slaughter… I declare your fall…"

Rein slowly rose to his feet, and behind him the terrifying phantom of a demonic winged serpent materialized out of thin air. Its vast, fleshy demon wings spread wide, shrouding fully half the divine realm in their shadow.

A grim and horrifying darkness instantly swallowed Idros's entire figure.

Especially the cold indifference and raw greed gleaming in the great serpent's eyes — they dragged a look of utter despair across Idros's face.

……

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

Above the sprawling battlefield where countless petitioners clashed, the thunder of divine law suddenly began to stutter and stall in an eerie fashion, and Gornush's furious roar rang across the planes.

"What's happening?"

Mystra and Tyr also turned toward the distance with some alarm, sensing that a terrifying change had already taken place there.

"Idros… you damned worm, you wretched wretch, you spawn of the lower planes — how dare you…"

Gornush roared, but it was already too late.

Under the watchful gaze of Mystra and Tyr, a divine realm whose light was rapidly dimming separated itself from the Orc Wilderness and plummeted ever deeper into the dark void. At the same time, a great wave of sorrow rolled outward — petitioners who had worshipped the Orc God of Death began to perish without reason, while across other planes, priests devoted to Idros were horrified to discover in an instant that they had lost all connection with their deity, their divine magic falling utterly silent.

Everything — every last detail — pointed to one undeniable truth: the God of Death of the Orc divine pantheon, the protector of all orcish dead — the true deity Idros — had fallen!

"It's the God of Slaughter!"

In virtually the same instant, Mystra and Tyr both understood what had happened — yet there was nothing they could do to change it.

For after a momentary surge of panic, the orcish horde surged back into the fray under Gnuush’s roar, driven by a terrible resolve…
