Jiang Chen

Jiang Chen is the protagonist of Sovereign of the Three Realms and the son of the great Celestial Emperor of the Empyrean Plane. Born with a Pure Yin Body, he could never cultivate the martial dao and survived only because his father sacrificed part of his own life to refine the Sun Moon Pill, extending Jiang Chen's lifespan to that of the sun and moon. Over more than a million years he poured himself into learning rather than combat, becoming an unrivaled master of alchemy, formations, spirit beasts and the great dao.

When a cataclysm struck the heavens, Jiang Chen awoke reincarnated on a lower world, the Divine Abyss Continent, in the body of a sixteen-year-old noble of the Eastern Kingdom who had just been caned to death on the king's orders.
