Jin Rou

Jin Rou began as an ordinary office worker in modern-day Canada. After dying, his soul awoke in the body of a young disciple of the powerful Cloudy Sword Sect — a cultivator who had just been slain. Inheriting that youth's name, memories, and hard-won qi, he took one look at the ruthless, kill-or-be-killed world of cultivation and decided he wanted no part of it.

Instead of chasing immortality and glory, Jin spent his meagre savings on a plot of neglected land in the remote Azure Hills and set himself up as a farmer, naming the homestead "Fa Ram." He is easygoing, generous, and stubbornly devoted to an honest, peaceful life of hard work — a temperament that quietly reshapes everyone around him.

Though he tries to leave cultivation behind, his immense stray qi seeps into the soil, water, and creatures of his farm, awakening ordinary animals into intelligent spirit beasts. He marries the village healer Meiling, becomes the reluctant master of a growing family of animal disciples, and lives out the story's central idea: that kindness matters more than power.
