Raphtalia's World is the world to which Naofumi Iwatani is summoned to serve as the Shield Hero, and the home of most of the main cast, including Raphtalia, Filo, and Melty. It is a single great continent divided among seven kingdoms and nations.
Its cultures vary widely by region: Melromarc resembles a European RPG kingdom, Siltvelt and Reiki draw on Chinese aesthetics, isolationist Q'ten Lo feels distinctly Japanese, and technologically advanced Faubrey evokes a steampunk society. Several religions revolve around the Legendary Weapons as holy symbols.
Compared to other worlds it has relatively low technology but high craftsmanship. It is repeatedly ravaged by the Waves of Calamity — the interdimensional catastrophes that summon its Heroes and drive it toward a destructive fusion with Glass' World.
