Description
Because this world is the game 'Dark Tale Fantasy,' its true happy ending is locked behind a 'Hidden Route' that only opens after the Hero destroys the world once. Doing so grants the 'System' — a game-like interface of quests, stat windows and warnings, which Frey seized by detonating the Hero's armament and regressing.
The System frames his mission as the 'Path of False Evil': he earns 'False Evil Points' for insincere cruelty, and 'False Evil's Intuition' warns him once a day of a lethal threat — vital when heroines keep trying to kill him. Ruby carries a mirror version, the 'Path of Pretender.'
